Fiocchi are a bowtie-shaped, short pasta that get their name from the Italian word fiocco, meaning "bow." Made by pinching an oval or rectangular piece of pasta in the middle, these Fiocchi are perfect for a variety of sauces, and especially tomato-based preparations.
