All natural, chemical free product that is nitrite free and gluten free. A very popular alternative to pork bacon our Turkey variety is one of the best. This is not a formed product like many others it is made from the thigh fillet and made in the traditional way. It has a small layer of fat for flavour but otherwise is a very lean product with very low levels of saturated fat and calories. Made from the same free-range turkeys as our sliced breast products, the animals are ethically farmed. Cured with honey as the sweetener it will caramelise quickly so, please keep an eye out while cooking. Wood smoked over Australian hardwoods and hand crafted without any chemical ingredients it is very much worth a try. Gamze Turkey Bacon is made from the thigh of free-range, rear breed turkeys from Freshwater Turkey Farm in South Australia. It is very important to us that the birds are farmed ethically and sustainably, and Freshwater Turkeys are very good at what they do. The process we use to cure our products is free from any chemical ingredients having replaced them with natural alternatives. The ingredients list is short with water, salt, honey and vegetable (celery, yeast, & rosemary) extracts doing the job of about 20 mostly artificial ingredients used in commercially made bacon. Product is fresh frozen which means that on delivery this product has 14 days fresh life from delivery day. Even though this product leaves Lettuce frozen it is likely the product will begin to defrost on delivery. Disregard best before date.
